This six hour course focuses on the necessary first aid skills to deal with a wider range of sporting incidents.

For coaches and sport enthusiasts. Injuries in sport are commonplace and initial treatment can make a lot of difference in recovery time.

Road Users' First Aid

About the Course

This six hour course gives people the confidence and skills required to deal with situations prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

Who is it for?

For all road users including: pedestrians, drivers of large goods vehicles or passenger carrying vehicles, motorcyclists, cyclists, etc.

What will you learn?

  • Bleeding - minor
  • Communication and casualty care
  • Primary survey
  • Removal of crash helmets
  • Shock
  • Treatment of an unresponsive casualty
  • Bone, muscle, joint injuries
  • Head injury
  • Resuscitation (adult CPR)
  • Role of the first aider
  • Spinal injury

Assessment and Certification
